Well first I want to mention that the EDNA is very original. As I said before she is the least modified car at Knott's. From 1999 to 200 she was rebuilt in the shop. When the Knott family sold the park they earmarked money just for the ENDA to be rebuilt. Ceder fair also put money aside for the EDNA.

The siding, windows, B end platform, and other exterior wood work was done by a contractor. The interior wood work was done by the shop crew, and the engineer/fireman crew. The interior wood was hand scraped, sanded, and re-stained.

All the floor coverings were replaced.(IE carpet, kitchen flooring, and platform flooring) The roof was also done by and outside contractor. At this time the car was also wired for electricity. Brass oil lams were installed and wired for electricity.(the originals were stolen)
The EDNA is a very well loved and admired car on the farm. Many guests, and employees are surprised at how nice the car is, when we show them the interior. The EDNA is one of the most prized pieces of rolling stock on the railroad.

Here is what I took the other day, up till my batt died.

Ok starting from where I left off.
This is the the door that isolates the rear parlor/office from the middle lounge. This door is double hinged. It will swing into either room. The two sofas pull straight out, to make two beds.


This shot shows the middle lounge with to sofas, and an upper birth that folds down. The two small sofas slide together to make one lower birth.

This is a step stool for getting into the upper birth. It has a small wood hook it hangs on.
