At Phantom Curve I left it up to a young whippersnapper to climb up to my vantage point
of nearly 40 years ago, and settled for a spot only ten or twelve feet above the r.o.w.
Fortunately, the rain held off - but only for a little while

It was beginning to drizzle when a brave railfan - SFAIK the only 1970 volunteer currently working for the railroad - left the warm shelter of his engine cab to snap a quick photo of the train
