A visit to Colorado in 1954 pt 1

The story i got and darn little of it was that my father came in to some inheritance money, and spent every dime chasing trains. to that end he visited Salida (i expect it may have been a quick bus stop, as no engines are recorded. he did spend a few days in Durango however as chronicled in his notebook pages below.
Unfortunately few pictures survived. When we went looking for them in the seventies it was discovered his mom had thrown out a bunch of his negatives
