Here is another shot from the Latham families photo collection that was generously shared with our SVRR Archive. This was taken on the White Pass & Yukon during the period that the railroad was operated by the US Army Transportation Corp. during WW2. The engine crew of #62 is posing for their photo. #62 was a 4-6-0 built by Baldwin in 1900 and scrapped in 1945. The engine was placed as rip rap along the Skagway River along with the tender tank. The tender frame was made into a flat car.
