1990 my first introduction to narrow gauge steam, 223 content

July 18, 2021 08:10AM
For a farm kid, who for some reason had a fascination for trains, this was my first introduction to what the Denver & Rio Grande Narrow Gauge was all about. I had been photographing standard gauge diesels for around 5 years prior to these photos being taken, I still was no professional photographer, but having images of items I like to study was enough for me. I had purchased from a friend of mine second a minolta 35mm camera in 1987 with a single lense for a hundred dollars, with no training on how to operate it, i just did the best i could with the photos i got, and made adjustments as I progressed in understanding how it operated. These images still aren't very good but they have enough image for me to study.
