South Columbia yard Lackawanna Railroad 2 track

Hi Everyone,

Here are a few shots of some work we did today in out South Columbia yard. We are building a train shed in the yard are are preparing the ROW for a second track. The machine is seen working along the alignment of what was the 2 track thru the yard in years past.

The old Lackawanna RR station had tracks on either side of the building. The 2 track extended across McKoons Road to serve the creamery in later years.

The new 2 track will generally follow the alignment of the old 2 track.

Just thought I would pass it along to everyone who enjoys our hobby. The rail seen in the pictures is 30lb.
