None of the ex LS&I locomotives would have survived if it were not for the Marquette and Huron Mountain RR. It was one of the first tourist RRs in the US and lasted into the 1980s. Three passenger cars and a 2-8-0 with a booster on its lead tender truck wound up at Union IL. Other 2-8-0 s are all across the US from this place in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where they were used or sat in storage for many years.
