Mullett and Merritts book Sumpter Valley Logging Railroads has a map on pages 26 and 27 that shows a spur line leaving the SVR just West of Phillips reservoir near what is now Hudspeth Lane and heading south up the very bottom of Clear creek before branching up two different draws. Is the map accuate? Was there a mill up this spur? If so, was it the mill refered to in Sumpter Valley Logging Railroads at the top of page 50, captioned saying it is Stoddards first mill, located above Curry, milling lumber from the base of Black Mtn?
