Yesterday my wife and I hiked at the Devil's Backbone Natural area. We stumbled upon the remains of what we later discovered was a gypsum mill. The mill was at a place named Wild, Colorado and it was in operation from the 1880s up until 1965.
There appears to have been a spur connecting the mill to the mainline in Loveland.
Also, we found out that the Plymouth NG "Peewee" at the CRRM came from that operation in 1965.
If anyone has information about the two operations I'd love to hear it.
