DURANGO, Colo. — The Durango to Silverton Narrow Gauge Train is believed to have started a wildfire reported yesterday in the San Juan National Forest north of Durango.

The fire, referred to by authorities as the Goblin Fire, now is estimated at 40 acres, burning on the east side of the Animas Canyon near Needles Creek. U.S. Forest Service and railroad firefighters are on the scene aided by a Type 3 helicopter.
