Got a late start yesterday and only managed to get up steam and set safety valves befor calling it a night. We did get a couple of important details installed.

Today we got steam up, finished the safety valve setting - better done in daylight. Orfice tested the air compressors, spotted the engine at the fuel station for juice...

We went out of the Bixby Road shop and down the mainline to Miami (about 5 miles), stopped for inspection then headed up the hill to the former Inspiration Copper Smelter...

We returned to Bixby Rd shop, then went east another couple of miles to the yard limit before returning to the shop to tie up. We put about 16 miles on her, no significant problems. Tomorrow we will pull the passenger train for some real testing.
