You didn't address my actual question. Is there a future for STEAM on the NH&I? You already stated that they sometimes operate with a diesel power.
Will there be continuing support, indeed continuing demand for STEAM? If this is even possible, how do we foster it? How do we keep it going? How do we sufficiently interest the next generations?
My whole tirade here was prompted by the TRAIN organization's recent caution to their members not to allow anyone, not authorized (whatever that means), to be allowed to enter a locomotive cab -- steam or diesel.
