Your Best Bob Richardson Memory or Story

In the last 20 years I've always enjoyed the times that Bob Richardson would come for a visit to Durango. The most memorable time was the day he stood with me at the end of the last gon and told me of his travels through the south, visiting those railroads no longer existing. Being from the south, this was of great interest to me. Thank goodness this is all in his great book "Chasing Trains."
It was great to see him this last Railfest. I knew that he would be riding the O500. I left on an earlier train but was ready with my camera on return from Silverton where we had a meet at Rockwood. As we passed the O500, there Mr. Bob was on the rear platform with his camera up, taking a picture of us. My last photo of Bob Richardson.
