Lon,
I am not positive on this, but I think it was No. 38 that closed out steam on Rayoneer, not No. 110. Both lokies were on the property in the mid '60s but the 110 was used on the lightly built spur to Camp 3. (AKA "the Parker Creek Reload") When I visited this camp in the fall of 1966 the rails were in place but the reload was being dismantled.
While in high school I had a summer job peeling Cascara Bark on the West Fork of the Wishkah. From it's headwaters it was only about a mile to Camp 3, and by climbing a tree on a hilltop it was possible to see the trains on that line. The distance was too great to see any detail, but I will never forget the sound of the whistle echoing through the hills. The engineer aparently loved it too as he really played it.
