Recently I have been doing a little research on family history and have found that some of my relatives may have wound up in OR & WA. During this search I found a WW1 draft card for a family member. The listed occupation is donkey engineer. It looks like the employer is Pulbain & Rice in Stevenson WA? I haven't found anything on the employer but I found references to a donkey powered portage railroad in Stevenson. I'm not sure how long it was around and if the dates would line up. He could have worked for a logging outfit up there I suppose.
