Potential Thesis work

While this is in no ways definate, I am considering a thesis topic with the railroad as my subject. It would be a very narrowly focused paper obviously, and potentially have an environmental history slant. My particular interest is more recent history, late D&RGW and early C&TS/D&S history. Hard to think of that as history sometimes, but hey, it means there are a lot of people alive who were involved, which means lots of interviews.
Anyway, this is not a lock for a thesis, but general brainstorming right now. It would be funny if this ended up coming to pass. Though I'm not sure what my advisor would say if he found out my thesis topic came from a internet discussion group.
