Dave...thanks for the information. Yes, indeed, 04379 looks like a near perfect match. The only difference that I can detect is the size of the stirrup step below the door. The existing car body has a step that is the same size as the corner steps, and I don't recall seeing any evidence (like bolt holes) that would suggest a wider step. I find the apparent lack of a D&RGW standard design and resultant individuality of the 4000-series crew cars quite interesting.
