The Antonito Red Devil coal loader would have been a good fit at the C&TS terminal at Antonito. I wonder if any efford was made to obtain it. My guess is that there was just too much going on at the time the states acquired the C&TS, and it just fell through the cracks.

I wonder what happened to the Red Devils at both Antonito and Alamosa. Were they sold or just scrapped. I'm a bit surprised that the DRGW didn't move one to Durango, since the coaling tower there was gone by then. Maybe frontend loaders are just too darn efficient.
