Historic Paint

I heard this morning on the radio that the National Trust (for Historic Preservation) has its hands in marketing paint. It is true: [www.nationaltrust.org]. These are the same folks that list the top ten endangered sites, which the Antonito Depot was once on.

So here is the pitch: let's get them to list Aspen Gold, Boxcar Red (at least three shades!) and some of our other favorite colors. This would put to bed any issue regarding the 'right color' the next time the Fowler brothers decide to paint the Chama depot!><

(full disclosure: the National Trust is pretty much in no way related to NPS (keeper of the National Register, which is only sort of related to the various SHPO's, who are generally state employees.)
