Does anybody affiliated or not with the Friends of the 483 program have an accurate idea of what all this beauty needs to get back burning coal again? Is the boiler OK? Aside from all of the cannibalized parts, what are the big "need to be seriously addressed" problems the old girl has? Would it pass the modern FRA requirements to be road worhty again? What funds have been accumilated thus far? How much more is needed to be "in line" for repairs, and what is the ultimate dollar figure goal, as well as time frame to do so?
Sorry for the ramble, just curious.
Thanks.
