Joel:
If you folks are running 30" gauge stuff may I suggest you seriously review all the great 2.5 foot stuff in Cuba. It's all U.S. made. Much of the equipment resembles the Rio Grande Southern. There are several sugar lines running great looking steam (mostly outside frame 2-8-0s) and much should become available when the politics change (and that could happen quickly). Or you can always get the stuff through a third country. Trains Unlimited has several tours going there in the next few months. I suggest you go down and make contact. If you do a Trains Unlimited tour, see their man in Cuba (he's Belgin) and he can assist.
