I went to Silver Plume today (Sunday, April 1st.)
and shot several photos of the shays and cars.
I noticed #44's cab on one flatcar and the sand dome and stack along with several other parts on another flatcar. The frame was beside the shop.
I have a few questions to ask. What kind of loco is #44? Is the rest of the loco being overhauled in the shop? What railroad was it aquired from? The last time I was there had to be in the 70,s when I was young.
