The Denver & Rio Grande Western Magazine had a story about building the tie treating plant and told of the puzzle they worked out in building the 3 gauge yard trackage.
Issur 23 Sept. 1926, at CRRM. "The yard was laid out so that it can be reached at every point with all three gauges of track without having one single frog connection or crossing between the 2-foot gauge track and the broader gauges."
