Salida display

I was in Salida a couple of nights ago, and wandered over to the display, a 3 foot guage 0-4-0 and a D&RGW short caboose(?) at the town museum.
Questions: what is the origin of the 0-4-0 (it is sitting on three foot guage track)?
The caboose appears to be a D&RGW short caboose, but it is on wide guage trucks. Is it the real thing?
Also stopped at the displays that the National Park Service has at Cimmaron. They have done a nice job. Looking at the 278, it is begining to show some pretty strong weathering, and the fireman's side cylinder has a rotted covering. Any word if the Park Service will be doing any repairs? The cars at the Cimmaron turn-off are in pretty good shape, except for peeling paint on one of the two stock cars and a rotted block above the coupler on the outfit car.
