Rather than the talk of WSL #12 going up Cumbres, how about suggesting that New Mexico Lumber #7 run up and down Cumbres after it get rebuilt in Indiana. It was the last narrow gauge Shay built and went over the pass twice, about new year day 1930 and the very end of March 1931, both likely under tow. Then build a branch out of Big Horn, a curved trestle over Conejos River into the timber and log it for the Forest Service (no roads allowed). no name.
