You said it as a lot of us see it , Greg .I am constantly amazed (or apalled) at how some of these people refuse to see the big picture ,i.e. free publicity of their project . The railfan hobby is a small market segement ,and I wlould amend my previous statement to reflect Greg's : No one is getting rich selling ANY products to railfans .It is not that railfans are stingy . There are not enough of them to mass-market products to . Sme twits will see a nicely packaged product like Greg's and will immediately assume he is getting wealthy off of it .
Like a lot of cool things in this world , small minds somehow always work their way to the fore and we as a group are forced to deal with
them . They are usually poorly educated and provincial , and some use their limited authority to bully people around . We all know who they are . They stick out like red flags in a fellowship that is 95% great people .
