Never say never but from all indications I have learned there was no water tank in Silverton. The SRR engines ran down the Silverton Branch of the D&RG and obtained water at the 494.55 the Silverton tank at Kendall Creek. This was 2.15 miles OW and took about 25 minutes round trip per the train register books.
