The current problems of the Loop under CHS is not the only railroad with serious difficulties. I can think of at least two with some serious problems that got the FRA involved and one so serious their steamer was parked by the FRA. Since TRAIN does not have any enforcement authority ,only the FRA does, self policing is a non starter. Weeding out the operators who can do us all harm is what needs to be done. Persons who want to play trains instead of operating a railroad are a serious problem. Gettysburg was a wake up call and those of us who know these things understood. Unfortunately, the very people who needed to understand the lesson refuse to let that lesson to sink in. For those who operate with good practices and up to snuff with the FRA,I salute you. Those who don't may very well undo all the good work that is being done. Be on the lookout for these types and bring their misdeeds to the attention of the FRA. Believe me,they will listen and take action.
