Here is an early description of the four American RR of Purto Rico 39.37" gauge Mallets. Two very similar ones were also built for the 42" gauge Guayaquil & Quito of Ecuadore. Both the Colorado and Southern RR and the Arizona & New Mexico RR considered similar size 3' gauge tender engines in the 1905-10 period, and BLW proposal diagrams are held by the DeGolyer Library.
