Found remains of water system at Sierra. It was a system similar to Cumbres, only they tapped into a creek just east of Sierra. there was a standard issue water plug and underground reservoir like at Cumbres and Sublette. The only thing removed was the water plug. The pipeline and reservoir are still there.
Only problem is trying to restore a system abandoned for 50 years.
We've determined 1744 should make it to La Veta on a tank of water, where the town will let us tank up with a fire hose.
Thank God for that big, oversized 10,000 gal Vandy tender.
Just in case we have a gas pump and lots of hose to suck out of Wagon Creek.
