Enginehouse Floors

March 09, 2001 07:10PM
In general, what were the floors in enginehouses made of...wood? concrete? Stone?
In specific:
What is the floor in the Chama enginehouse? I can't remember.
If it's wood planking, does it run parallel to the rails or does it butt up to the rails?
How wide are the planks?
What is typical length of a plank?
Is there is sub-floor?
Does the rail stand above the enginehouse floor or is the floor level with the top of the rail?
