The following is some data I have in my files reguarding eastward freight movements from Durango starting in late 1935 to March 1936. I'll give some of the more intresting items noted. Train No#462 dated 12/19/1935 using engine #471 departs with 7 loads and 3 enpties weighting 235 tons @ 1.25pm. The conductor was noted as M.R. Henry, engineman as Katschthaler, brakeman were Smith & Clarke and the fireman was Stefthen. Caboose was no #0501. On 1/11/36 engine #459 as train 462 departed @ 2.15pm with 4 loads and 5 empties for a total of 196 tons. Conductor and engineman were listed simply as DO. Brakeman were listed as Murray & Bruce and J Cummins as fireman. Will post more later in reguards to westward movements using engines 471, 459, 464 & 375 and engine 462. I stated that movements were from Durango but they could have been from Alamosa but it is most likely Durango.
