Data for the Steam Hound Dogs:
On May 27, 1974, free day between trains, walked up to MP 2.5 and saw following engines in river bank burrial:
South engine was No. 61 with slide valves, snow plow pilot, 2-8-0 outside frame 1, 2, 4 driver flanged.
Middle of three was #62 4-6-0 with wood pilot, outside frame with 1 & 3rd drivers flanged and drive rod reached to 3rd driver.
North engine nearly all covered was No. 60 former 4-6-0. All 45 deg on side with wheels in air.
Up at MP 5 minus 900 feet was No. 67 and D&RG "ON" rotary but I have a note that WP&Y #196 was here and I question WEB what is true as to end of #196? I can not confirm MP 5 data, only 2.5 mile post.
I have a complete inventory of entire railroad as of May 25 to May 28, 1974 to whom is interested.
