I am preparing a history of D&RGW standard gauge snow spreaders 042, 043, and 044 for the Rio Grande Modeling & Historical Society's Prospector Magazine.
Spreader 042 is on display in Helper, Utah, 044 is on display in Hot Sulphur Springs, CO and the rumor mill says 043 is still on the UP.
I have all the historical data from the D&RGW (equipment cards, folio drawings, etc.), but I need photos of any of them plowing snow and photos of 044 in D&RGW service.
Would appreciate any assistance. I can scan slides, negs, or prints.
