Looking for information on D&RGW tracks & turnouts

March 04, 2007 12:05PM
Hi,
I'm looking for information on tracks and turnouts used on the D&RGW narrow gauge.
The only information I have so far are are pages 115.4 (tie layout for #8.5 and #10) and 5.2 (tie dimensions) from the 1966 MoW book.
Does anyone know, which rail weights the D&RGW narrow gauge lines used at what times?
What is the standard tie spacing?
Where all turnouts used in the 40's and 50's of the layout shown on page 115.4 (i.e. frog size #8.5 or #10)?
Does anyone have close-up pics of a typical D&RGW turnout (switch section, frog, guard rails, ...)?
Unfortunately I forgot to take some pics on my own when I visited the Durango & Silverton in 2004; I focused only on the things on the rails rather then on the rails themself <img class=" />
Thank you in advance!
Christian
