South Park, the two near poles certainly have cross arm braces. The photo still trouble me as to location. There was a motor car shed just short of the east wye sw. at Dixie, so that may be what the shed in the photo is. Next Spring, I'd like to take this photo to Dixie and see if I can fit it into the landscape. The highway has probably really changed the landscape there. The last time I poked around at Dixie, I completely missed the depot/section house location.
As for activity on that end of the line, it depends on what period you are talking about. Early on from 1910-perhaps to
the early 20's my impression is that it was pretty busy, but traffic went away quickly after cars, trucks and roads became a more convenient mode. Also the Std. ga. UP line to Burns once in service I believe affected traffic in that area, to the detrimate of SVRy.
Some examples of traffic on that end of the line that we know about were shipments of gasoline via tank car 99 to the bulk plant near the depot in Prarre, shippment of rough lumber from a mill on the Prarrie side of Dixie to a box factory also near the depot, livestock shipment which we have at least a couple of records of in 1925 in which 19 went to Prarrie, shipment of Chromium ore during WW1, cars to a dealer in Prarrie via 2 boxcars equipped with end doors, and LCL. A photo in "Stations West" shows a spur to a flour mill, so perhaps at some point they were a shipper, or reciever of sacked grain.
