Which one loaded the 486?

I recall from an old Iron Horse News that in the late '60s when the 486 was shipped to the Royal Gorge, that it was reported sitting "under the transfer" at Alamosa, ready to be loaded on a flatcar. Was this the locomotive hoist at the shops or the steel transfer crane pictured in this thread? When did the steel crane replace the old wooden one?
