4 pockets, coaling 2 tracks,shed over pockets,
engine house frame 14'x20'with mech. equip.,and sanding facilities. $8647.00.

Balanced Bucket Type, mechanicaly opreated,capacity 75 tons.

I would almost bet that the old Chama sand house sat under the old coaling trestle as did the one in Alamosa, and the new sand house was built in 1925 along with the new Coaling Station....John
Frame on concrete foundation
4 Williams & White pockets and aprons.
Coaling one track.
2 Buckets, Capacity 1 ton each.
Hoist operated by 15H.P. gas engine.
Hopper track over pit 30' long.
$5,126.00
An added note at the bottom of the page:
"this seems to have retired sanding facilities and we have no record of when present sand house bld # 10 was erected"
