The first one in Durango didn't...Back in 1990 the 481 had the first prototype "Bradshaw" Cindercatcher. It had to be folded over to fit in the roundhouse.
One day on swing shift, someone moving it nose first into pit 9 forgot to put it down. CRASH! Scratch one prototype, one neon light above the door and a bit of door trim....
Live and learn, I don't think anyone ever forgot again. Isn't narrow gauging fun?
