Uintah engine #30, an outside frame Mikado 2-8-2, was built new for the Uintah Railway in 1911 and was said to be "one of the largest narrow gauge locomtives in the world at that time." This engine wieghed 146000# , 246000# with tender. I also heard or saw at some point a comparrison that this engine was larger than anything the D&RG ever had other than the engines that were originally standard gauge and then "narrowed down". Any help on how #30 compared to the D&RG, or other RR's for that matter as far as "size" of the engine, and how long that "worlds largest" logo would have held up (knowing that the two articulates crushed it in 1926 and 1928). Thanks in advance.
