Taylor,
Who said anything about narrow gauge? The Torch Lake used to be narrow gauge, but she isn't any more! The Calumet and Hecla had a whole fleet of Mason Bogies built to the very odd gauge of 49" (that's another story!) but it was converted to Standard gauge when the line was regauged around 1906. Fortunately, one survived.
Unfortunately, the one you are thinking of, a genuine DSP&P 2-6-6T bogie was donated to the University of Iowa at Ames. The students donated it to the WW II scrap drives in 1942. Aaaarghhhhh!!!!!!!!
