From what I understand Nine will be running the rest of the season. I'm sure Railstar contributors to this forum will be able to tell you more but the way she ran last Tues was to follow the train (and 12) down light and then help the train back up grade - very cool. If you ride about two-thirds back in an open car (on the right side you can get some fabulous shots of the double header on the bridge and one other curve while riding - And you will have no problem hearing and smelling the whole affair.
I have not heard of anything in particular occurring in conjunction with the NNGC. I plan to ride with some friends Sun. morning 20 Aug. on my way to the convention.
