Re: SVRy Cars

Hi Guys,
None of the yellow “passenger” boxcars came from the SVRy. They came from the D&S’s yard sale. Jason can fill in the details. The Sumpter Valley Ry. did sell one converted boxcar to the CHS but while it was in Boulder, it caught fire and was destroyed before it could make it up to the Loop. That was D&RGW #3654.
As for the ex-SVRy cars, two of the highside gons and one of the covered highside gondolas did come from the SVRy. They are all of D&RGW heritage so we (OK, maybe just me) thought it might be nice for them to head home since we were converting our passenger car roster over to steel cars.
