One suggestion that might be doable is to position a LED flashing warning light that calls attention to the grade crossing sign that is only turned on during train season. That might let the truckers know that something is different in the summer and they need to look out. They can be solar powered and used on existing signs at minimal cost on both sides of the crossings.
