Baby Elk - Highway - Train - fun story
I went up the hill this morning to try a few shots of our steam engine
climbing the hill. The engine slipped a wheel which is a loud noise and
out jumped a baby elk and run down to the road in front of me.I put on
my blinkers and in a short time realized he didn't know where mom was
and was going up the road. I followed him to a wide spot so I could get
around him on the opposite side of where he needed to be. He started the
right way then stopped at the fence next to the road. I stopped the car
and decided it was time to try my first baby elk herding job. I could
hear mom up on the hill across the tracks calling him but he wasn't moving.
