Willamette rebuilds

In the new Railroad Model Craftsman magazine, there's a nice article on a narrow gauge Willamette rebuilt shay. I was wondering if the author was using "modelers license" to the details of his rebuild, such as Willamette insignia plates on the tank, and hand rails. Did Willamette add these plates to the locomotives they rebuilt? Does anyone know of other Willamette rebuilt narrow gauge locomotives?
