Crummy, Bobbers!?

March 15, 2006 09:00PM
I know that over the years many unofficial names were used to describe the caboose. Two I like are: Crummy and Bobber. I'm not sure about the 'Crummy*' but maybe 'Bobber' is self explanatory; the motion or gait of a short-assed caboose on rough track? <img class=" />
*Crummy means "Of very poor quality". I suppose that might well describe the state of some well used old caboose?
