I was in Durango yesterday for a meeting with the company that is fabricating the body for the new Silver Vista and they report that it should be ready for the D&SNG to move into the railroad's shops in about 3 more weeks. It was interesting to see the blueprints for a narrow gauge car in the room where we met. Maybe we'll all get to see this car in service this summer.
On my way into town, the 480 was putting on a nice show, coming up the valley with a pretty full train--lots of steam mixed with smoke in the cold air.
