Since the Ski Train is the last breath of "Rio Grande" (even the business cars are back to Rio Grande from previous Southern Pacific), I thought some may be interested to know that the 3 FP40s to be used on the Ski Train arrived today at Denver's Union Station.
They are painted with a similar paint scheme as the Rio Grande Zephyr. They are yellow/orange with silver and black, with one black stripe. The "Grande Gold" is a lot more orange tho. It looks very similar to the paint mixed for the Royal Gorge F's.
