According to the book, Fowler Locomotives in the Kingdom of Hawaii, there were a few 500 mm steam powered railroads prior to statehood. It would be great to find one of these engines locked away in a barn somewhere! This gauge translates to 19 and 11/16 inches, which makes it slighly narrower than the Coronado.
There were 500 mm gauge lines in Brazil, and maybe the Yucatan as well.
